Usually if I hate the cast pre-show they end up winning me over, just like last season.

I don't LOVE this cast by any means like I did last season with Cagayan, but I do think there are a lot of people here that could be way more interesting than they appear right now. If I had to pick the two duos I loved the most it'd have to be Jeremy/Val and Natalie/Nadiya

I'm keeping my expectations low so that even if it's only an okay season it feels pre good.

I mean last season I judged tony in the start because he was wearing A wife beater,
but we all know tony was amazing <3

I think people are so used to "OuTlAnDiSh111!!!!11!" casts in the past few years that when you have a cast full of relatively normal people, they don't think it will be interesting. But I feel like this season is more going back to the roots of Survivor in terms of a cast. Besides the obvious D-list celebrity casting of John Rocker, the Twinnies, and sort of Josh/Reed, everyone else seems like a cast that could be on a season from the early oughts if they did a BvW way back then. And I think that's great. You don't need wacky personalities or OTT people to make up a good cast, sometimes it's fun to see relatively normal people change out there due to the elements (ala Trish Hegarty).

This cast isn't extremely inspiring and I still think they went back to BvW way too soon.
