Cassy is a lazy Cassi clone. A cheap and obvious attempt by ITV Studios and newcomer agency NEXT Model Management (taking over as the contracted agency from Priscilla's for the first time) to repeat the phenomenal success that was the "Bogan Princess Turned Legitimate Model" storyline from Cycle 5 and boy, oh boy, did it ever come back to bite them all hard.




In fact, about halfway through the premiere episode of the cycle you can tell that ITV are trying to project the fact that Cassy is a failed experiment as they continually throw her under the bus using exchanges like the following:

Josh Flinn: "As a designer, Alex Perry has quite a definitive look, they are quite glamorous with a very elegant finish. So, there's a few here who I'm not sure will quite fit into that look...

*cut to Cassi in a blue Alex Perry gown*

Cassi (enthusiastically): "I love it!! It's awesome, it's oh... My dress, is lovely, it's awesome.... Blue! Very blue..."
Cassi (confessional to camera): "Um, blue, a lot of people said it matches my, uh matched my skin colour."

Girl. Seriously. The blue does not match your skin colour. It might compliment your skin tone (it does not, by the way) but it does not match your skin colour.... The timing of that quote from stylist Josh followed purposefully by the material they have carefully chosen for Cassy strongly implies how seriously you are supposed to take this girl in the competition (i.e. not at all..)




You'll hear me refer to "Supre" girls later in the Rankdown and this is not a good thing. But Cassy, Cassy is too cheap to even ascend to the rank of Supre girl so honey, please, step down off that runway and take your poorly Xeroxed copy of the true Bogan Princess ass outta this Rankdown.

That means ELIZABETH "LIZ" BRAITHWAITE & ADELE THIEL, ONE more of you will be cut, while only one of you will move on to Cycle 2 and continue on in the hopes of becoming RFG's AusNTM Rankdown winner!

So, this one will be short and sweet since Liz didn't really DO anything of massive importance to note during Cycle 7 despite making it all the way to the live finale before losing to Cycle 7's only bright star of hope, Montana. Liz got called first out of all the girls exactly one time and appeared in the bottom three exactly one time, meaning, for the vast, vast majority of the cycle she sat comfortably in the middle of the pack & I will not extend her the same luxury here in this Rankdown.

She also got the "uncomfortable about my body" storyline late in the cycle despite banging out photos like this so, seriously, the girl is clearly beyond help:




But, seriously, since the gods of AusNTM Rankdowns were gracious enough to smile upon me and deliver me two Cycle 7 girls with #getcycle7out being my day one statement of intent (and not, as PDC claims, "to screw her" or whatever, like, how is that even possible?), I would be a dang fool to not make this cut and my mumma didn't raise no dang fool.


That means ADELE THIEL, you will move on to Cycle 2 and continue on in the hopes of becoming RFG's AusNTM Rankdown winner!
