Confession: the only WWE I've seen in the last 8-10 years is Total Divas. I barely know anyone current if they haven't been mentioned in that show.

Quick question - do they still maintain that wrestling is 'real' or does everyone just accept all the matches are rigged and shit now? In Total Divas there'll be like a match and one of them punches the other in the face and then as soon as they come out of the ring they're talking like "yeah good match!" and there's not "ugh I almost won!" stuff. They even show one story arc where they set up a fake romance for the WWE. Like lolwut.

None of the matches are real. It's even called "sports entertainment" for a reason. It's not a sport, it's entertainment. Not real. Although, some of the very poor selling of shots makes it pretty bloody obvious it's fake.

I remember back in the day when shit at least looked real-ish. These days (based on my viewing of Total Divas) it all looks like the fakest shit ever. Why people get all empassioned about fake shit, i'll never know.

To an outside viewer, look at how intensely focused and excited the crowd looks at the live show. It looks disproportionate to the authenticity of it. That's all.

Fair enough every thing has its share if super fans. Did I tear up during films sometimes? Yeah. Do I get super into my favourite characters in GoT? Sure. Everyone has their own thing and people will look at others who have a different thing as weird and not understand it.
