For anyone watching the current cycle of America's Next Top Model, there was a girl in the Top 20 - aka she lasted TWO episodes before getting cut pre-Final 14 - called "Olay". Her boot episode was literally yesterday and I bet most of you didn't even know there was a girl called Olay in the group.

She got exactly TWO mentions over the two episodes she was in, and both of those weren't even a focus on her - they were a montage shot with her name on-screen in Episode 1 (that made me think "who names their kid Olay?") and she was called alongside one of the other contestant who did make the F14 in episode 2.

Thanks, ANTM editors. What was the point of that? ^^ That's Valeria. Valeria was one of the first girls to get booted in cycle 6 of AusNTM and she has absolutely NO storyline at all. All she's really got to show for it is a shot that looks like she was an extra in the season-promo poster for Mad Men.




Yeah. So she's so irrelvant more than 50% of this write-up isn't even about her, but about another irrelevant person in a different franchise.

This decision is actually a bit weird. Seeing the nominations I thought that cutting Brooke was the easy decision. But then I was comparing her and Franky's work and YIKES Franky has some fugly shit and her post-show "career" isn't really a thing. So why am I cutting Brooke? Because Franky had a great storyline in cycle 5, and Brooke's actual shots from cycle 8 weren't great at all.

Looking at Brooke's story in Cycle 8, I am surprised it is so boring and middling - Brooke is someone I distinctly remember liking but looking back I must've had some weird "she's pretty" day 1 bias going on because she was average at best. She starts off well-ish and then pretty much slowly descended from altitude without realising that she was about to crash, and then she went home in a snoozefest double-boot that (according to the wiki) apparently *rattled* the other girls. riiiiiiight.

Cycle 3 certainly turned up the heat! We're almost half-way through the rankdown and Cycle 4 promises to deliver! Two Sarah Murdoch Saves are still in play so let's get started. I'm up first so I need TWO numbers between 1-70 from ONE poster....

I wrote the most epic write up but it took me so long that my session timed out and, when I tried to submit it, I was taken to the login screen and it was lost :'(

I seriously spent about an hour and a half on that write up and now I am devastated because I was too lazy to reinstall Lazarus Form Recover after Chrome uninstalled it when the browser crashed last week.

I will try the write-up again in the morning but this is seriously heart-breaking for me right now.
