So, sorry again for the massive delay in getting this cycle underway but here we are finally. When I first wrote Kimberly's elimination write-up before the weekend it was a fairly scathing/nasty attack on the girl herself, calling her a wannabe common pig and a bush scrub etc, but even since then I feel like my perspective on the issue has changed and I've somewhat mellowed on the girl herself despite her obvious awfulness on display in the video below:



In my last write-up I said that those two minutes alone tell you everything you need to know about Kimberly to see why she doesn't deserve to be ranked this high and that still holds true. She is still the living personification of the ambitious boganista, a rarely seen boganista variant that makes slacker boganista seem like a real pleasure to deal with. Her desperation is still the only thing that overpowers the stench of white trash and he is still the embodiment of everything wrong with young women who go too far in objectifying themselves and treating themselves as a sexual commodity for sale or trade to achieve their goals.

Kimberly was a Surfer's Paradise Meter Maid - an institution that was once revered and is now all but reviled. These woman used to be iconic figures, strutting down the tourist strip in their classy gold lame one-piece swimsuits until the girls like Kimberly started to see the opportunities available to girls once they completed a tenure with the Meter Maids and treated them as a launching pad into tacky lads' mags photoshoots like the one Kimberly did for RALPH magazine even prior to being on AusNTM:




Once these girls started showing up, ravenous for their time in the spotlight, the Meter Maids quickly lost their local business funding and had to switch gears to corporate sponsorships, effectively erasing the line between local business promoting Meter Maid and nightclub promo girl. Soon, this once iconic institution was no longer even welcome on it's home soil as businesses started making attempts at driving the Meter Maids away.

But, if I'm not AS mad at Kimberly as I once was, even only a few days ago, then what happened? Did I find some inner peace during my hiatus from online forums? Heck no, I just realised a lot of the anger I felt towards Kimberly was misplaced and that the real individuals who deserve to share the blame for having thrust her into the cold, harsh limelight are the producers of AusNTM themselves.

The games the producers play in this series become wickedly transparent when you've followed along for the entire duration of the show. What they did here was take a spoilt, ambitious, desperate little brat of a girl and allow her to put her ungrateful attitude on display pre-season in order to try to drum up publicity for the show. Apparently, Kimberly had an issue with the amount of money she was paid being a meter maid (although she doesn't seem too displeased in the video above, right), as well as some of the conditions so, instead of handling it like a head-strong, capable adult and having a word to her employer, she allows the media to pick up the story and propagate it on behalf of the AusNTM producers in a disgusting attempt to put her in Cassi's shadow (again). http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv- ... -zl0u.html

As far as I can tell from reading that, the employer does not come out looking like the more evil of the two parties in conflict. But what about Kimberly's time on the show? I mean, she made it through to episode 5 before being eliminated so, surely, she's got some modelling chops right? WRONG. This fact ALONE makes Kimberly's being #70 on this rankdown a lolsy moment because Kimberly is the only girl in AusNTM history to be in the "bottom call-out" spot in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE SHE APPEARS. She is, most likely, THE single worst performer in AusNTM history and yet she was almost forcibly dragged to episode 5 before the producers could allow her to be justifiably cut because of all the pre-season hype they allowed themselves to build around her. I mean, this girl was dead in the water before the camera even started shooting but yet production had to take her a certain distance to get a return on the investment that was their pre-season build around this disgusting little child. I mean, seriously, look at this:



Could that arm position BE any more awkward? She obviously doesn't have a single clue on any fundamental level and yet, she wasn't eliminated for that photo. She also came out of the show moaning about having been teased wearing a bikini and saying that she would never allow herself to be photographed in a bikini again which I am happy to say is a promise that she has -



- oh, sorry, my bad. That's after she made that vow?? Oh, right, of course it is. Because it would be a bit much to expect a girl to maintain her principles when the fleeting lights of c-grade celebritydom are always just on the horizon, right?

Anyway, Kimberly is just an awful human being and the type of girl I try to help my 14 yr old niece NOT model herself on as her lack of self-respect, integrity, work ethics and principles are almost just as disgustingly absent as those of the producers who allowed themselves to manipulate an obviously vulnerable, exposed girl who never legitimately stood a chance of being a part of the fashion industry, in the hopes of getting a good on-camera meltdown. SLOW CLAP FOR ALL INVOLVED.
