Here's the thing about Jade - she was a great contestant on a reality TV program named Australia's Next Top Model but she was never a potential model on a tv show with that name (to be fair, there were very few who were this cycle). Like, she knew all the rules in the rulebook and followed them all right down the line and that was enough to get her a pretty fair way into the competition but it is hard to say she could ever have been looked at like a real threat when turning out photos of this standard pretty consistently.




The other thing about Jade is that she's all limbs and awkwardness but has these big squirrely eyes - like Punky Brewster mixed with Jack Skellington or something. Like, she's takes pretty photos, sure, but could you really do anything with a roll of film filled with this?



I do feel bad for Jade getting nominated against one of the strongest non-winners in the whole bunch and think that, had she been nominated against almost anyone of equal or worse placement than herself in their respective cycle she probably would have squeaked through to Cycle 6 but I'm happy she made it this far and think this is a decent enough spot for her in the Rankdown and it's a good thing we squashed a potential UTR floater getting further than we'd like.
