I remember when, in an interview for a job, I had mentioned that I was ok at a few langueages, including French.

So in the most warbled, oddly worded 'sentence' I think I've ever heard in my life, she asked

'Est-ce que tu français'

Not only could I not even decipher what she was saying, but she didn't even word it like a question. She said it like it was an everyday statement.

I sat there for like 5 minutes thinking wtf is she was saying, and then I said a couple random sentences french, and she looked pleased.

It wasn't until I walked out that I realized what she was trying to say. I ended up with the job btw.
