I remember thinking, while Cycle 5 was airing, that Lola would make a great WWE Diva - she could've been a massive heel monster just tearing bitches up and suplexing the fuck out of Michelle McCool through a goddamn table, just wrecking shit until a babyface Beth Phoenix or Kharma stepped up and challenged her, bringing on an epic feud that culminates in a Wrestlemania spectacle of massive proportions. Cos, seriously, Lola was about as feminine as a boot in the head so it all made sense to me, right?

In all seriousness though, Lola was another one of these "sports" models - like Liz Braithwaite (god I hope I don't cop as much shit for knocking off the 2nd of the Frankenstein Twins from this rankdown as I did when I cut her) - and copped a fair amount of flack during her time on the show for having a body-type that didn't fit the conventional norms for a lot of the shoots. I get why they need to cast girls to fit different modelling "niches", on the off-chance that they come across a girl who is able to subvert or destroy the boundaries of this niche and become a legitmate cross-genre modelling sensation and the judges are hoping for a big win fall since it would make a LOT of sense for the world's next "big thing" in the sports/athletic modelling category to come from Australia but, the thing is, like Liz, Lola isn't athletic looking enough to make sense as a sport model but not editorial looking enough to fit into that scene and certainly not commercial enough to be a commercial/catalog/glamour model either so.... ???

One thing Lola definitely has working in her favour though is that her look is INCREDIBLY campy - especially after you douse that giant, mug head of hers in bleach, which translates beautifully for certain over-stylised briefs like this:

But stick her in anything more traditional and conventional, like, anything that doesn't resemble the cast shot of a dinner theatre horror production or an Annie Lennox dubstep remixes album cover and bitch starts to struggle in the most distressing manner:





Actually, I think that little blurb I wrote there for that pic just about summed it up on Lola - she did always make me think that this is what Lurch from The Addams Family would look like if he decided to transition to a female and Lola also has one of the worst AusNTM portfolios out of every girl I have ever seen on the show because I cannot find a single photo that she took during her time in the competition that I like so that makes her just about the Von Worst in my opinion - eh? Eh? See what I did there??

So um yeah. Kamila. She was the first person cut in cycle 4 and the most interesting thing about her is that she is probably one of the only girls to legitimately get #buh-lindsided by her boot. Kamila is seriously one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen on Top Model but she has two major problems:

1. She can't model for shit.
2. She's dull as a doorknob.

It's actually kind of funny to be honest, thinking back on it. I distinctly remember being pissed off when she got cut because the other girl in the bottom 2 was fugly and I'm kind of a superficial bitch like that. It was probably a shock to many people that she went home in episode 1, but knowing she was convinced she was probably going to win the whole competition only to be the first boot is pretty hilarious - especially when she says it to the cameras on day 1.

Thing is, the judges were right looking at her post-show work she really can't model for shit. It's legitimately embarassing .




It's a good thing she decided not to pursue modelling after all.
